Im just wondering to Chief CONTROL how this board will advertised as such to the wider internet public - since I dont think Conrol HQ has its own website (does it?) that can be accessed.

well, my young trainee, there are a few ways this site can get off the ground... one is that i am advertizing the link in some appropriate pages (for instance, on specific pages at IMDB, etc.) around the Net in places where i think Get Smart fans might be lingering... another is that i will be submitting the forum to popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo (this did do some good for my 'Therapeutic Pink' Pink Panther forum)... and probably the best way to grow the site is by word-of-mouth... i will invite people specifically if i know them to be fans of the franchise, and i hope that you as fellow agents will likewise be willing to spread the word to any other fans you might be aware of...
if there are other/better methods of promotion that anyone might wish to bring to the attention of the agency, please feel free to chime in!

You could use myspace....create a page with a link. You could probably find fan pages all over the place.
