i know what you mean about the reader being annoying... i played with the configuration options a little, though, and found a way to make it suit me better...
anyway, i read the first comic just now, and thought it was interesting... certainly not the same style of comedy as the TV show... there were also some odd changes they made... for instance:
99 repeatedly refers to Max as Chief
CONTROL and KAOS are both located in New York instead of Washington
CONTROL is a person (rather than an organization) that Max works for
for all the changes, though, it wasn't totally unbearable... just very different, is all i can say... it'll be interesting to see how this one compares to the others...
I agree....quite different, though still it has its charm, the plot (to me), seemed very Get Smart-ian, though Max was a bit too bumbling with the gadgets and else....
And I've just read the second one, which has a very odd plot, the comic seems to jump points, Max pulls out a gadget and usddely they're somewhere else, lacking some conflict methinks.
the resolution is funny, though the dummies are mighty confusing!
I've read the third one - and it was actually quite good. the jokes were better, the plot also quite ridiculous had a bit of tension amid the humour and the ending was quite a blast! (forgive the exceedingly awful pun)
