Universal has released The Nude Bomb on DVD and I picked it up a few days ago. I've never seen the film before and new it had a mixed reception from Get Smart fans but I found it to be a decent film. It doesn't hold a candle to the original series nor the new film for that matter. Some parts were good some bad but overall agreeable.
I wouldn't call this a full fledge "Get Smart" movie since it ignores many aspects of the original series. This is more of a Don Adams spin-off where he just happens to be playing a character named Maxwell Smart.
The plot is rather amusing and weird at the same time. The villain was very weird especially his costume. Looked like something from the original Battlestar Galatica.
I did enjoy that "The Chief" was portrayed by Dana Elcar who you may know better as McGyver's boss Pete.

Yeah I was disappointed there wasn't any bonus material either. A trailer would have interested. I'd like to know just exactly how they advertised this movie.
