Taking a leaf out of the threads in the future of CONTROL board, I'm taking you back to the 60s and possible different casting decisions.

say GET SMART was designed to be a movie series, or the producers wanted some Big name stars - could you imagine any stars from the 60s playing a Max role? or 99 for that matter. or chief?

doesnt have to be big stars, could other TV luminaries from that time been Max?

say Bob Crane from Hogan's Heroes?
Larry Hagman from I Dream Of jeannie?

any thoughts?

I don't think anyone could've really matched the perfection we received from the show's cast. So much of Max was Don Adams' creation, the show couldn't have been anything near the same without him!

That said, I think it would have been interesting to see what Paul Lynde could have done with a character like Max.
