Richard Gautier played Hymie in 6 episodes of Get Smart, and in the Get Smart, Again! reunion... Patrick Warburton played Hymie in the new Get Smart movie and in the Bruce & Lloyd DVD...
which was better, in your opinion?
personally, i vote for Gautier... while Hymie was never my favorite character, i like the robotic way Gautier made a point to move, and the monotonous voice he gave the character... to be fair, Warburton has had much screen time to really develop his character, but from what he's done, he just doesn't seem rigid enough - his Hymie's voice and movements are too human - which speaks less to me about technological advances and more about complacent acting... Warburton has gotten a few good laughs from me, though, and he's certainly the best thing about the Bruce & Lloyd DVD...
