what villain would you like to see Max and 99 take on in the next Get Smart movie? do you want it to be Siegfried again? would you prefer another villain from the TV show, like The Craw? or would you maybe prefer a new, original villain like they had when they did The Nude Bomb?

in all seriousness - if they wanted a villain, get a comedic european actor. someone whose funny without being completely ridiculous. not quite Sacha baron Cohen, someone less....cohen like

One of the villains I always liked was the one who was wheelchair-bound. I forget his name, but he was a sword fighter, and he could run, but he couldn't stand or walk. Funny guy!

Rhys Darby, well known as Murray from Flight of The Conchords (I believe he's also featured in a film recently) first off hes a funny guy - and although he probably wouldnt make a main villain, as a henchman or just general character I thin ke'd be a great addition for that kind of verbal humour that the original Get Smart excelled in.

he looks like he belongs in a Spider-man movie to me... i guess without really knowing who he is, i can't say whether i think he'd be a good Smart villain or not... just have to take your word for it... Shtarker, i think the villain you're thinking of is Leadside, originally played by Ronald Long in Season 4... made just the one appearance, but i think he would have made a good recurring villain, like Siegfried... besides being a sword fighter, he was also a genius mastermind... remember, he had a 3-part plan, and he did fulfill the first two parts with considerable ease!

Leadside was great but I'll doubt they will go for him. I would be disappointed if it was Siegfried again as he was the one think I really disliked about the first movie. I have a suspicion that it will be The Craw which would be funny and probably easier to live up to than Bernie's Siegfried. Although a new villain could be quite amusing, I really liked the scenes with Easter-Island.

I have a feeling they wont use the Craw, for risk of alienating the foreign markets, which to quote Mickey Rooney "are more important than ever nowadays..."

ahh, so you think they'll go all PC, like how they eliminated Cato from the new Pink Panther movies, huh? that's an interesting (sad) thought... how do you do a PC Get Smart? guess they'll also have to eliminate Leadside from contention for fear of alienating disabled people... and i guessthis explains why Siegfried was sodifferent in the '08 movie - you don't wanna alienate the neo-Nazi population, afterall!

There doesn't even necessarily have to be a recognizable villain from the old TV show. They could just as easily just come up with an assassin with a quirk or two who works for a generic KAOS boss, and it would fit in fine with the way a lot of episodes of the old show played out. Not every villain had a major gimmick on the show.
