'Get Smart' has to hold the record for shows featuring lookalike characters - my favorite may be that early one with the lookalike Chief (d'oh! don't know the name) Actually a 'favorite' is a tough call but I like the bourbon/buttermilk mixups at Max's place.

you're right, huffaker, that the show had an awful lot of character doubles!
maybe it would be helpful if we could somehow put together a list of all the doubles episodes so people could see at a glance what their choices are... could take a little time to compile them all, but here are a few i'm sure of: Too Many Chiefs, The Spy Who Met Himself, The King Lives?, The Secret of Sam Vittorio, The Return of the Ancient Mariner, To Sire With Love, The Treasure of C. Errol Madre, And Only Two Ninety-Nine...
i'm sure there were more...

I think you've nailed 'em all - unless you count Max's rubber-mask wearing double in 'Don't Look Back'. I'll have to watch it again, but fake-99's 'real' voice in 'And Only Two Ninety-Nine' has to be dubbed - I'm thinking June Foray in her best Pottsylvanian accent!

The character-double episodes are among my favourites and even though there is so many they don't become too repetitive. My favourite; The Secret of Sam Vittorio.
